These terms cover your use of Type to Study. By creating an account you agree to them. Questions go to [email protected].

Your account

Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens in your account. One account per person.

Free trial and subscription

• New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full access and no card required.
• Type to Study Pro costs $10 a month or $60 a year (prices in US dollars, plus any tax that applies), renewing automatically until you cancel.
• If you subscribe during your trial, your first payment is taken when the trial would have ended.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Discount codes apply as described when they're issued, can't be exchanged for cash, and can be withdrawn before they're used.

Refunds

If you're charged and it wasn't what you expected, email us within 14 days of the payment and we'll refund it. The full details are in the refund and cancellation policy.

Your material

You keep all rights to what you upload. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service to you. Only upload material you're allowed to use for your own study.

AI-generated content

Lessons, answers, grades and tutor replies are written by AI from your material and our sources. They can contain mistakes: check anything important against your course material, and don't rely on them as your only source for an exam.

Fair use

Don't misuse the service: no automated scraping, reselling access, attacking the service, or uploading illegal content. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Type to Study running and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept it.
