NEET Preparation App: Study the NCERT and Your Notes with Flashcards and Quizzes

NEET UG is the entrance test for medical, dental and related undergraduate courses in India. Biology carries a large share of the paper and rewards exact recall of the NCERT text. Type to Study can turn the NCERT PDFs and your own notes into lessons, flashcards and quizzes. Use past papers and mock tests for the exam itself.

What NEET covers

NEET (UG) is conducted by the National Testing Agency. It covers Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology), based on the syllabus published by the NTA and aligned with the Class 11 and 12 curriculum. Questions are multiple choice, with negative marking for wrong answers. The mode of conduct and paper structure have changed between years, so check the current NTA information bulletin.

Biology is the largest block of marks, and NCERT is the base text. Physics and Chemistry include numerical problems, so they need practice solving, not only reading.

Why it is hard and how to prepare

The difficulty is scale and competition. You must hold two years of syllabus in memory, and small details, such as an exception in a plant family or a named enzyme, can decide a question. Negative marking punishes guessing, so confidence calibration matters.

Evidence-based preparation: read NCERT closely, then test yourself on it, then space the review. Solve previous years' papers to learn the style, and take timed full mocks to practise speed and accuracy. Keep a log of questions you got wrong and why. For Physics and Chemistry numericals, work problems on paper. Flashcards are weaker there than for Biology and chemistry facts.

A plan using Type to Study

Upload the NCERT Biology PDFs and, if you wish, your coaching notes. Chapters become units and sections become lessons, with page citations, so you can check every claim against the book. Use Type mode to retype definitions, classifications and diagrams' labels, and the Recall pass to produce the highlighted terms from memory.

Flashcards from each key term come back on the Leitner schedule, which fits the long NEET syllabus. Use unit quizzes with typed answers to rehearse explanations such as the steps of photosynthesis. Ask the AI tutor to predict likely questions from a chapter. Always confirm against previous years' papers. Type to Study does not include official NTA questions.
