An AI study tool for college students
College gives you less structure and more material than school. By finals week there are four courses of notes and one night per course. Type to Study helps you convert material into recall practice early, so finals are a review rather than a first read.
From a pile of notes to a study plan
Upload lecture notes, readings or a whole course book as PDF, Word, text or Markdown, up to 5 files at a time. Chapters become units and sections become lessons. If the book has more than three chapters, you choose which ones the exam covers.
- Lessons cite the pages of your files
- Flashcards generated from every key term
- Readiness score so you know where to spend tonight
Midterm and finals routine
Start two to three weeks out. Read a lesson, type it, do the recall pass, then let the flashcard schedule handle review. In the last week, take the timed practice exam and revise the units it flags.
Spacing and self-testing are among the techniques with the strongest evidence (Dunlosky et al., 2013). Our finals guide on the blog walks through a week-by-week plan.
Academic integrity
Type to Study helps you learn your material. It does not write essays or assignments for submission, so it sits comfortably with most academic integrity policies. Check your own course's rules on AI tools.
