An AI study tool for self-learners
Teaching yourself has two traps: no structure, and no way to tell whether you have actually learned it. Watching videos and reading books feels like progress. Type to Study gives you a course shape and then makes you prove what you know.
Get a structure for any topic
Type a topic and the app researches it from Wikipedia, web articles, OpenAlex papers, Open Library books and GitHub repositories, then writes a course with units and lessons. The sources are listed so you can go deeper. A narrow topic gives a short course, not eight units of padding.
Learn from the book you already own
Upload a book as PDF (600 pages is fine), Word, text or Markdown. Lessons use only that book and cite its pages. If it has more than three chapters you pick which to study first.
Find out what you actually know
Read the lesson, type it, then do the recall pass where key terms are hidden. Flashcards come back on a spaced schedule, quizzes ask for typed answers, and the AI tutor can quiz you one question at a time.
The final exam is generated fresh, with an optional timer and a grade, and it lists the units to revisit. It tells you honestly where you stand, with no guarantee about any outside qualification.
