An AI study tool for engineering students
Engineering exams reward problem-solving, and problem-solving rests on knowing the theory cold: definitions, laws, standard results, when each method applies. Type to Study helps with that foundation. It does not replace working problems on paper.
Make the theory automatic
Upload a chapter on control systems, thermodynamics, circuits or statics, or type the topic. Lessons come with key terms highlighted and a diagram beside the text that lights up the current step, useful for signal flows, cycles and processes.
The recall pass hides the terms so you type them from memory. Flashcards for each term come back at 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days once you know them.
Practise explaining why
Many exam questions ask you to explain a result or choose a method. Quizzes include typed answers checked against key points, and Q&A has you type model answers until you can write them yourself.
- Good for definitions, assumptions, units and conditions of validity
- Good for comparing methods and explaining trade-offs
- Limited for long multi-step calculations
What it does not replace
It is not a calculator, a CAS or a simulator, and it cannot check your worked solutions line by line. Keep practising past papers and problem sets on paper. Check equations in generated lessons against your textbook, particularly for course books full of formulae.
